Did you say BBQ sauce on Brats? That is gross. I come from American Bratwurst ground zero. Sheboygan County Wis. First, brats should be eaten on a hard roll. Used to be we would put two brats on a hamburger roll and call it a double. These days they (I say they because I haven't really lived there in a while) are using brat patties. These can be just as good and work better on a hard roll. But I digress.

Best thing on brats is the works. Buttered roll, raw onions, pickles, brown mustard and ketchup. Delicious! Sticks with you quite awhile.

I have never figured out why yellow mustard is even made.

I have seen people boil brats before putting them on the grill (shudder).

I just put them on low heat and turn them a lot.

Agreed! It was horrible. The tri-tip I went with instead was a hit. Glad I went with that instead.

God almighty I want a brat.

But thirty years ago we had one and I've been afraid to ever since.
