I smoked another Perdomo Slow Aged 826 Churchill today. I've mentioned these a few times already to date.
To recap: Well made cigar with a smooth light brown shiny wrapper. Nice open draw, even burn and a nice tight ash. Lots of smoke with wonderful flavor and a surprising amount of complexity. Plenty of bang for the buck in this cigar!

Let's see, I had an oldish cigar that is no longer made. A Royal Jamaican Oro Rojo Robusto. It was a medium dark wrapper with a solid feel to it. I don't know exactly how old it was, but the yellowed cello and the fact that these have not been made for awhile now, tell me it's pretty old. 10+ years I would guess. It was a mild, but tasty cigar. It smoked nice and cool, with just a bit of wobble on the burn. The finish was med to long and with a slightly sweet element. It was a nice change of pace, from more potent cigars and the very last one I had. So, a tip of the ash hat, to a ghost cigar from the past.

I guess that's appropriate for October.

Cheers!

Newspaper cigar today. It's raining so I smoked a Honduran Bench Made Corojo CG. These don't look that great. But they are well made, have a good burn, and taste pretty nice. this cigar over performs for the price.

Cusano Esteli, Nicaragua Churchill. Well made cigar, attractive brown slightly toothy wrapper with a straight burn and a solid ash. Good rich flavor with lots of smoke. I like these!

Joyo Red Toro. Nothing amazing, but a good solid smoke.

Yesterday I smoked a Camacho Pre-embargo toro. It was gifted to me. I asked my buddy his impression and he said "It tastes old." Not real helpful. Once I started smoking this cigar I understood. It tasted somewhat like a Cuban cigar that's been in the humidor a long while. Complex flavor, but very muted. I thought it was pleasant and good.
The roll was a tad loose, but the burn was straight and the ash was tight. The wrapper was light brown and somewhat dry with a shaggy foot. Camacho was going for a retro type cigar. I think they achieved that. Very old school. Good cigar!

Yesterday I smoked a Rocky Patel Velvet Edition Toro for review. Light shade wrapper, firm roll, nice ash. The flavor was mild but complex. I had burn issues but still thought it was pretty good. I rated it 8 of 10

Today I smoked a Perdomo Reserva La Tradicion Cabinet Selection Churchill. This was the last one from a box I won here at CW in 2003. I think they were better earlier, but it was a good smoke.

Torano Vault (silver band) CG. An oily dark wrapper and lots of chocolatey goodness!

Kinda cold here today. But I was planning on doing an RP review anyway. Turned out to be pretty windy on the patio so I scrapped that idea.
Instead I grabbed a Honduran Bench Made Corojo and headed to my sheltered spot in the woods.
It was nice and I had a pretty good smoke. There is some satisfaction in getting a quality smoked from a bargain cigar. These are cheap, well made, tasty and good!
