another great idea shot straight in the ass!

I've been thinking about brewing, but it will wait until the first of the year. I wondered, how does one keg a beer? I was running laundry the other day, and realized that I had an empty 1.5 gallon tide jug with a tap built in, and damn, that was the answer I needed. So, I grabbed a couple of 40ounce bottles of pbr at the gas station, and loaded one up with that.

Once the pressure built up, the damned thing leaked.

Do any of you know about another one that has a better tap?

PBR would make anything leak

It'll make you more than leak, hell, it's made me regurgitate a time or two. Should'a tried shaking that thing to see what happened then!

brew beer with larger moloecules so they can't slip out, or find a detergent in a less slippery container.

The only other thing I would point out it that if you are going to use it the way I think you are - the tap would be at the bottom of the "keg". If you are going to make your own beer, you don't want the stuff off of the bottom.

heavy water and polysaccharide chains ought to do that. I can probably use carbon trioxide, too.

Kegged home brew, here I come.

I guess that it's about time I leveled with you guys and said I was bullshitting. I can't even imagine storing an alcohol containing beer in something that had earlier held a scented detergent product. Even PBR couldn't stand up to that.

It came to me when I went past some boxed wine, and that very second, it was tossed far out to sea. I don't want my stout to have hints of fresh breezed tide.

Ah, may I suggest Gain, it has a more pleasing sprucey odor, and the purple tinge it ads to the beer, simply awesome.

BTW, Brian, I think some of us are used to getting shot in the ass. I for one take flak there 2-27 times a day.

I would suggest wrestling alligators but only if you've recently pounded a box of Matilda Bay!

'wrestle' alligators... some call that reptile rape but who am I to judge?
