Hey Mannish or any blues guys?!?!?!?

I'm trying to figure who plays it or what this song is for a friend. All I have is these lyrics....any ideas on who does this song and or the title?????
TIA.

"...I went across the street.
The man there said you make the best fried chicken
He done ever eat.

Ain't no way to know that baby, lawd, unless you doin me wrong

Must be open house in my house, baby
Lawd! Every time, every time that I'm gone."

"...I went down to the bar
A man there done told me
how much money was in my cookie jar

Ain't no way to know that baby, lawd, unless you doin me wrong

Must be open house in my house, baby
Lawd! Every time, every time that I'm gone."

I've searched high and low to find out what the title to this obvious blues song is and who wrote/performed it to no avail. It's an oldie but a goody.

Any idea?
