Atwater Brewery Decadent Dark Chocoloate Ale...I believe the first words out of my mouth were, "Oh. g-d, that's good!"

Where is it brewed? The old Strohs was as bad as Shaeffer, Old Style, and Olympia brewed by the same company in the 80s and 90s.

"If you want a beer really bad, we've got a really bad beer for you."

Should have been their slogan. He'll, PBR has a better reputation and it has always been bilge water.

OLY was made in Tumwater WA at one time. Their slogan was "It's the water and a lot more". In this bar I went to it had that slogan with an Indian pissing in the river up stream from the brewery.

I used to drink Old Style and Stroh's in the early/mid 90s. That was before the mergers started. But I am no expert on beer.

Pabst partnered with Brew Detroit in August 2016 to brew batches of Stroh's Bohemian Pilsner according to the original 1850s recipe. I think distribution is limited.

I might go get a 6 pack, it looks to be available locally

Shaeffer's slogan was, "The one to have when you're having more than one."

went to the local Binny's... they have Stroh's in 30 packs, and sorry I am not wanting to relive the past that much did buy a 6 pack of Off Color "Tooth adn Claw" which is their dry hopped lager made with the Field Museum of Natural History

Dry Hopped Lager

John likes bees. John's like of bees led him to hanging out with other people who like bees. Some of the other people who like bees work at The Field Museum. The Field Museum was opening a bistro and bar. John was opening a brewery. And that is pretty much the story of how Off Color and The Field Museum collaborated to make this crisp, clean pilsner with a dry-hopped bite far inferior to Sue's.

Availability: Year round in kegs and bottles

ABV: 5.0%

Gravity: 11.5 dP

IBUs: 35

Malts: Pils, Carapils, Pale Malt

Hops: Herkules, Tettnang, Hersbrucker

Secret Ingredient: Discover

Late to the party - the new Strohs is being brewed in Detroit.

Wifey's cousin brings me new stuff from north, and I get new local brews for him. Seemed like a nice beer. Kind of a home-baked bread/ biscuit character, but not too heavy. Real bohemian style, a good year round beer.
