Cornell & Diehl Cross Eyed Cricket
Description: Unsweetened Black Cavendish base with Turkish, Latakia & Perique. Lightly flavored with rum punch. Upon opening the tin, i find this blend to be moister than most C&D tobaccos, probably from the dressing, but not too moist, the smell is immediately fruity and upon closer sniffage a nice Latakia smell. The tobacco, packed nicely into my bent apple and lit immediatly, after tamping i only had to rilight twice to keep it lit. The initial flavor is the Rum Punch but agter a few puffs the Latakia flavor blends nicely. This is surprisingly good, you can definately taste both flavors the rum punch and the Latakia, and they work together very well. As you smoke down the bowl, the english becomes more dominant on the pallet but not in the aroma, great for those times you want an english blend but want to be around people. If you haven't tried it yet do so i think you'll be surprised by how good the combination works. My wife found the room note to be quite nice, in fact she said "thats one of those stinky tobaccos, you would never know." 4.75 out of 5.00 Exceptional
