ASH BASH '06

Really had a good time Saturday , and I appreciate all the BOTL and SOTL who came out. Our little bit of rain wasn't a killer, we got the entire "Cigar Mayhem Death Match" in without a problem. Stayed dry, ate well and smoked and drank plenty.

The Grand Prize winner, with a high score of 18.25 points was Justin (Justin51) who took home the 150 count humidor and a box of Cuban Club smokes. He also won a raffle 5er a little later too.

Low score, and a "Dog Rocket" 5er, went to Dan Livingston.

Long distance traveler award went to Bill Hulse (Torpedo2) for coming up from Cincinatti for the event.

Additional raffel winners were Eric (Merlin) , Nancy , Greg , Melissa , and Dan (Black Plague) , and Cris .

For those interested, the "Cigar Mayhem Death Match" was a long ash event with a twist . Four events in all, and your cigar had to be either in your hand or in your mouth for all the events , horse shoe toss, hula hoop, long ash, and then the butt toss. All events scored points and high score took home the big prize.

The horse shoe toss was 2-up and 2-back, just 4 show tosses and basic scoring (boy did these guys suck..... ).

Had a great time watching these guys try to hula hoop the "regular way" in a child size hula hoop. It took 'til the last guy, Eric (Merlin), to figure out that you didn't have to do the hula hoops the traditional way, all that we asked was to complete 10 revolutions. Of course CAO Honey was awarded for best form .

The Long Ash was the measured butt when the ash fell (all the cigars were robustos for this event) . Points were assigned according to how long the ash was when it fell.

And the Butt Toss was about a 20 yard toss to a pin with 1-3 scoring rings. Lots of 1's and 0's, but our grand prize winner got a 3, yea Justin .

Had a Great Time , Hope all did.

Enjoy.
