Well, after some research and great responses to my questions on this board , I went out and bought a Nording #5. I also purchased some G&H Kendal Dark Shag and a 100 gram tin of My own Blend 7000.
I began to break in the pipe with 1/4 bowls of the G&H. After 3 of those spaced over an hour or so, I now know what "STRONG" pipe tobacco is. It reminded me of a well aged cuban cigar. Full bodied with a substantial kick.
I'm looking foward to trying the 7000, and was gifted some free samples from the tobacconist. One was GL Pease Barbary Coast, some Savinelli Armonia and My Own Blend 3005. Anyone have any smoking notes on these?
