1996 Montecristo #4
Ring Gauge-42
Length-5 1/8 inches This cigar was gifter to me by my friend Ronin in a blind stick trade. Now I know why this is probably the most popular cuban cigar in the word. The wrapper on this was the darkest color I have ever seen. Somewhere along the lines of a deep, deep chocolate. It was pure velvet to the touch. Of course, I had to have a couple of pints of Guiness to go along with this. From the moment that I fired this baby up it was incrdible. Flavors of cocco, coffee. Subtle flavors of earthiness. It burned like a dream. Even though I set it down a couple of time, it never went out. Even when I was down to the nub it was fantastic. The taste became even more intense. One particular thing that I pleasently suprised by was that it did not get hot at the end like so many cigars do today. I alsmost cried when it was time to put it out. I have smoked many fine Montecristos in my time, but never have I had one that was so enjoyable. Steve, once again, thank you!
