I thought humid air rises?

My VinoTemp is consistently at 2 different humidities. I have beads on the top and bottom shelves - but the bottom is always around 65% - 70% lately, with the top always being between 55% - 60%. I have an oust fan in the middle, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I've even taken to putting a bowl of water on the top shelf, but for every % it raises the upper area, it raises the lower %.

It was rock solid for a while, but the last week or two it has started drifting quite a bit. Can't seem to figure it out. I check it pretty much daily now.
