I tried my first Oliva O, I think it was the Oasis - a nice torpedo, about 6" long.
Pre-light the cigar had a nice spicy taste, and it was flawlessly constructed, with only a couple of lumpy stems that could be felt under the wrapper. The one concern was the draw was a little tighter than I prefer. The wrapper was clearly thick, compared to non-sungrown. Upon lighting, I was quite impressed with the flavor. There was a definite spicy character to it, but not overpowering. The flavor was earthy and bold, with pepper as an undertone, and a slight hint of nuts and coffee. I quite enjoyed the first half, but as it burned into the second half it got even better. In fact, the last third was awesome! The flavor seemed to remain consistent, but character seemed to get more rounded and even as I smoked past the 2/3 point. Aroma reminded me a lot of Punch SS, and other Cubans, a sort of pungent earthy smell. The burn was even and pretty flawless throughout. I truly enjoyed this cigar, I would sum it up as a bold flavor, medium to strong body, but not overpowering. I would strongly recommend them.
