Montecristo Media Noche...

What a great smoke. I tried this last night while walking the dog. It was a No. 3, I think, that Mealstrom sent to me in a trade.

Beautiful, dark construction. Great pre-light smell and draw. Burnt like a charm, tasted like a good maduro should - nuts (Macadamia, methinks), dark chocolate, a little coffee. Just right, with a tiny hint of spice and nice tobacco flavor.

I don't know what these run, but if you could get one for around $6-$7 for a nice churchill, you could do a lot worse for a maduro.

I'll tell you, I don't really want to like domestic Montes, Romeo's and Macs, but there are some pretty good ones out there if you are willing to look (although not so much the Macs...).
