Gift ideas for whisk(e)y lovers...

...is the topic of my latest A Rich Pour column on the CW Home Page. I've included five whiskies, a couple of books and - last but not least - a tasting glass.

Have yourself a look-see HERE.

Terrific article. The Redbreast 15-year-old sounds delightful -- for my nephew and, especially, for his colicky 8-month old.

longbow is delightful stuff, especially on damp nights, but I am hoping one of you sends me a bottle of Yamazaki 50 year old

Would you settle for a 50-year old Mizunara oak stave?

I had 2 pours of the 18 year old Sunday and it makes many other drams pale

The 18-year old is a beautiful whisky, to be sure. For me, though, it lacks just a little 'sparkle' and suffers ever so slightly on the finish, which should be longer.

Not that I'd ever turn down a dram...

it is priced well beyond my range, finding it on sale per drink made it hard to pass up. Too bad it is so expensive.
