La Palina Pasha
I really wanted to try the Family Series because of the raves and because I really like the KB and KBII, so I purchased a sampler with a couple of the family series and Diario (sp?) series, all were ok to good until this one. Now this is an interesting cigar! Didn't quite know how to approach lightning it with the almost 1" shaggy foot. so just dove right in and lit the sucker. Didn't really catch until about 1/2" and then burnt straight as an arrow all the way to the end. Incredible pre-light and smoke aroma. Started off pretty mellow and built up to medium then full bodied and fairly strong at the end. Hardly ever experience such a build up of flavor and strength except in a Cuban Churchill. Tons of creamy smoke, leathery, and just rich tobacco flavors throughout. These are pretty pricey, but one of the few that I consider "worth it". Would definitely buy again. 90+
P.S. Paired with Elmer T Lee Bourbon
