Ted you have some beautiful pipes. Is there a theme to your collection?

Wow! I don't know much about pipes, but I'd say that's one fine collection.

Thanks.

Yes ... I only keep pipes that are great smokers.

Other than that, I just look for good values in the better brands. I tend to favor bent shapes ... sandblast / rusticated finishes ... and medium sizes (about a Dunhill Group 4).

Wow is right!

I too am finding I favor the rough finish? I wonder Why, diferent style appeal to different folks? How old are these Photo's? It looks like You have a big Cabinet to store them in.

Cool!

I think I prefer the rough finish pipes because they just feel good in the hand ... heat is disappated better via the additional surface area ... and the extra dimension just adds to the natural beauty of the grain.

I just took these pics today ... and I've added a couple more showing my pipe and cigar cabinets.

Thanks for taking the time to share those, Tedski! Your collection appears to have a nicely evolved look to it. Beautiful! I'm sure you get a lot of enjoyment out of it. How many pipes do you think it took to get to the current state of your collection?

Someday........
