Sazerac Rye... A touch on the sweet side for a rye (doubtless due to the high corn content in the mashbill), but very nice all the same. Smooth!

Didn't go to work today instead played in a Special Forces Foundation golf tournament. Home now. post hot shower and a pot of long simmering pintos awaits which will be followed by a couple fingers of Bookers in my easy chair with Toby the wonder dog at my feet.....life is good.

Booker's is certainly a nice way to greet the weekend.
Tonight, I'm sipping some very tasty Gooderham & Worts Four Grain Canadian whisky. Its mashbill includes rye, wheat, barley and corn. The whisky clocks in at 44.4%ABV, and represents a sterling example of the new-wave of quality Canadian whiskies that are now hitting the marketplace.
