The 6 legged pigs being designed for McDonalds to make McRibs are apparently safe from John....

Yeah, and you can pretty much zero out a turducken, too.

Truffles... its about the funk
Thanks. I'll take a look next time I head to the liquor store.

I can certainly vouch for the reds from López de Heredia.

(mentioned in the first link posted above)

as can I. And all things R Lopez come in 'levels' from entry to OMG good. Same with the Faustino (I was surprised to find a rose Faustino in Spain).

Albarino is pretty widely available, it is great with fish (its a white), I have been grooving on white grenacha lately

There is some incredibly boring white jug wine in Spain (RENFE gives it away). But there is a lot of hig,h value quality wine from Spain. There is also 1000 a bottle white that is aged 20+ years before release. You may want to start towards the left on pricing and move right.

Not my favorite, mind you, but it'll do in a pinch.

My bad.

I meant to highlight the reds from Hacienda López de Haro, a winery I first became familiar with a few years back. Very good wines at quite reasonable prices.

Of course, R. Lopez de Heredia represents one of the finest wineries in all of Spain (if not the world).
