Are my smokes toast?

I stored a few smokes in a coolerdor in my closet this summer. I put in 70% climmax beads and checked the radioshack digital hygrometer and everything was fine like 70% humidity and temp was 72 degrees... Well this summer it got hot in my room im pretty sure it was 80 degrees at the peak in the humidor for a few hrs in the day then at night would cool down. So I finally pulled the smokes out of hibernation this week and smoked a Romeo Petit Corona the other night and it tasted really harsh. So I tried a Cohiba Siglo I and it tasted the same as the Romeo Julieta just flat and harsh

The cigars look a little lighter than they did when I put them in a few months ago. No cracking or anything but they seem to all have lost their distinct pungent pleasant smells. They are aged over 2 years old each. So I'm thinking the temperature spikes must have dried them out or something. So if the temperature hits 76F relative humidity drops to to 57????

Anyone care to try or chime in?
