Toppings

I have some Partagas pipe tobacco that I find very strong. It tends to burn hot (or at least my smoking technique makes it) and the aroma can be a bit overpowering. Since I like to light up first thing in the day in my home office, I don't want the place too smelly if a client comes over later in hte day.

Is there any way I can add some topping to tone it down? I'd like a better room note but switching completely to an aromatic is $$ since pipe tobacco around here is very costly. I've got almost 1/2 a pound of this stuff and I don't want to let it go to waste. I'm sure in the years to come, I will smoke it all eventually, as is, but I'd like a little more enjoyment from it now. Any suggestions?
