Cu-Avana Punisher
Has anyone here tried these?
I picked up a 5-pack not long ago, and have had the opportunity to try a few. I would classify this as an interesting smoke. I would imagine that most folks would either LIKE these or really be turned off by these. I had the belicoso. It had a dark, very oily wrapper....and this is where the interesting part comes in....they apparently infuse the wrapper with some sort of chili pepper or something? When you put your lips to the wrapper you actually get a tingling or burning sensation. It is classified as a very full bodied smoke, but I think that sort of confuses the issue because once you get past the pepper sensation you end up with (at least IMO) a medium strength cigar. For myself I kind of enjoyed the initial kick or sensation. As I smoked thru the first third I didn't find anything really spectacular as far as flavor goes, it was good, but nothing to set it apart. The burn was very good, it wanted to wander just a bit but quickly self corrected. As I got to the halfway point it started to develop quite a bit more flavor and strength, turning into a very enjoyable smoke. I wouldn't say it was complex by any means, but very good just the same. I would buy more of these, but probably as a 5-pack....something to keep around and enjoy on occasion when I'm in the mood for something different
