If you're going to use a container that is nearly water tight like Tupperware or Rubbermaid, or any type of cooler for that matter, it's almost a requirement that you use 50/50 solution in your humidifier. The propylene glycol (PG) in the 50/50 mix will keep the humidity from getting too high.
No PG means you run the risk of ruining your cigars from too much moisture, and the dreaded tobacco beetle. It's also good to open your tupperdor or rubberdor every few days, or at a minimum once a week to let some fresh air in. Open it briefly for a few minutes. If you have enough spanish cedar or other wooden cigars boxes, you won't have to worry about loosing too much moisture for the few minutes you'll have the contained open. However, if you access your 'dor on a near daily basis for your smokes, that will suffice.
