Carlos Torano??
So I hit my local B&M today and of course overpaid, but have been Mia from cigar world this had me scratching my head at all these new to me brands.
Anyhow I was able to get one of my old favorites and it's still tastes as good as I remember. Carlos Torino Exodus. So wondered, are they still in business and making them? The shop owner made it seem like he had them for awhile. He'll the wrapper was even browning... so he seemed to have the sticks for awhile. Anyone got any word on this brand? Brian thanks. Glad to see they Live On to Fight Another Day. As I nub this one, around a burn pit in the backyard.

I haven't had one yet (overwhelmed by the volume GC gave us at IPCPR), but I'm looking forward to one. If General stayed true to the original blend (and I have nothing to even imply that they did not), it's going to be awesome. Torano has always made top-notch smokes.

I stocked up on boxes of the Virtuoso on cigar bid, I think they're on close out. I'll be sad to see them go

According to Jefslat, Charlie Toraño is coming back on board with the brand, now under General's ownership. They have rebranded the packaging, but supposedly, the blends are unchanged.

Awesome news. I was just looking at some boxes online last night thinking I should get a few, but no where to store for long haul. Unless I can talk the wife in to letting me buy an Rtic or Yeti cooler lol

Virtuoso's used to be the bomb.... Haven't had one since I got a 5 er a long time ago, and it didn't taste like the older ones I had....

Sadly, they rarely do.

Ive only had a few of the blends in the past. The only one that I liked was the exodus silver. That box pressed gold was just abominable. I couldn't smoke one, and I absolutely detest poor construction in a cigar. The H2000 was the problem.
For that matter, just got an exodus in the IPCPR mix, and good god, I can't really explain it in a short post, but that may have been the worst construction I've ever seen. Cotton stuffed in a toilet paper tube. It tasted fine, though, in between torching it off and it going out. |
