Interesting humidor story...
Hey guys, its been a while so Hello and happy holidays
Anyways, a friend of mine approached me with an odd humidor issue. He mentionted that he had purchased a humidor from a local B&M at his home state (he's now at school in socal). Anyways, he mentionted that before he ever got a chance to prep or put cigars into the humidor, he noticed little bugs moving around on the ceder trays. Anyways, he said that the bugs seem to have long since disapeared or simply died out. Mind you again, there were never any cigars in this humidor. Any idea what these bugs were? Is there some type of prep that can be done to clean the humidor? |

If the bugs were there in a new-never-used humidor, I'd be concerned for what ever is infesting the wood the 'dor is made of. Just because you don't see them now does not mean they are gone. As far as cleaning the 'dor, I don't think there is anything you can use to dissinfect the wood and kill any remaining bugs, or eggs, without causing additional problems for stored items (cigars). It may just be a loss. Maybe someone else can share a cure.

hmm
I'd just spray the inside of the humidor with raid. Soak it down real good like. I do it to all my humi's.
also...do your cigars make you hallucinate?? mine do.. (white rabbit plays in the background)
