Assuming you're only looking at maintaining the drinkability of the wine over a day, a viable alternative would be to keep an empty 375ml bottle at hand. When you broach the wine, begin by immediately pouring ½ into the smaller bottle, corking (or otherwise sealing) the top and placing it into the fridge. Then use the remaining ½ of the wine left in the full bottle for the 1st night's serving.
