I've always enjoyed those. Very nice maduros. I've smoked the robustos and toros, and I've never had a bad one.

If they are the Esperanza por los ninos that Caribe made to benefit huricane victims in the Honduras, they're a very good cigar and even better at that price.

I'm waiting to hear if they are actually this cigar.

This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.

There were two Esperanza cigars made---Christian Eiroa's charity cigar "Esperanza para los Ninos" made by Caribe at Tobacos Rancho Jamastram in Honduras, and a completely unrelated "Esperanza" brand which I cannot recall where it was made.

The Caribe sold its remaining Esperanza (or at least a portion of the remainder) to 2 Guys Smoke Shop in Salem, N.H. They have the robustos and the churchills, and, IMHO, were very tasty maduros when first released in 1999 and now are really very good earthy Hondurans (I still have 3-4 boxes to smoke through).

BTW, the original prices (including the amount donated to an orphanage) were:
Robustos-$77.50
Toros-$78.75
Churchill-$83.75
Torps-$87.50

2 Guys has the robustos for $39.99 and the churchills for $49.99, but no portion is now going to the orphanage.

I personally hope some of the toros and torps show up.

You can read about them at the original site created to sell them:

I bought a box of Toro's and Torps about a year and a half ago, and liked them a lot. Only got a handful left. 2 Guys, huh?
