Some Interesting Notes from the Virgin Records store closing
They are closing their premier store here in Dallas and it is sad because this was a great store. Everything 50% off of the lowest price, so as you might imagine everything has been culled over pretty well. Even more obscure stuff like old Genesis with Peter Gabriel were long gone. We were still able to find a lot of great jazz, new age, funk and similar types of music, but what was funny was seeing what was NOT selling, such as:
U2's latest CD. No other U2 CD to be found but they still had over 15 copies of this one. Pretty much everything Cher has ever done. Bay City Rollers. I made the mistake of saying this out loud to my wife and she hollered across 2 aisles "cool, they have the Bay City Rollers!" Sammy Hagar Queen's CD from their recent tour with that other singer. I'll post others if I remember them, but it was pretty funny.
