I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars! |

Two possibilities. Yes, eventually green coffee ages, and flavors are lost. Personally, I've never found much appeal in any green that's gone past a year or so.
Second, as you probably know, natural Yirgacheffes are notoriously difficult to roast JUST so. I'm at least as much of a blueberry whore as you are, and it's all I've ever chased for years now. Some of the lots I've worked with had windows that were at most 5 seconds long, generally right on the cusp of second crack, and usually only when I stretch first crack out a bit. Hit that window just right - bam! Blueberries. Miss it - flub. Nada. I don't know if that window expands or contracts over time. I usually don't buy massive quantities any more, though if that Wote Konga you had was from Klatch, I burned through a total of 30lbs of it. Epic coffee.
