Montecristo Edmundo
Montecristo Edmundo – NPO-DIC04
Smoked outdoors, at 6am, with Mexican Altura coffee. Wrapper – Tan wrapper with thin veins, an elegant looking cigar. The aroma of the wrapper is rich and sweet. 5/5 Construction – A solid cigar with an excellent draw, nice even burn, solid gray ash. It is a 52 ring cigar that is easy to smoke, but can be a bit wide for those who prefer thinner cigars. 5/5 Flavor profile – What comes to mind as to the flavor profile of this cigar is complexity. It started out mild to medium in strength with loads of sweet earthy flavors. You can taste hints of cinnamon and other sweet spices in the first third. The second third was bolder in strength, and more intense in the earthy leathry flavor profile. The sweet spicy flavors were less evident, in favor of nutty hay like flavors, with some pleasant bitter tones. The last third was even MORE bolder, richer, and heavy in the earthy Cuban tobacco flavors. It was very strong at this point, and extremely satisfying. It was so delicious I have to give it 2 extra points for its extraordinary complexity, and bold flavors in the last third. 12/10 Final Thoughts - This cigar is a world class Cuban cigar, worthy of being one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. It will appeal to cigar smokers who appreciate the best Cuban cigars in the world. It is a must try cigar for all. Total Score – 22/20
