Just for the fun of it, I purchased a corn cob starter set! 2 of the 3 pipes were Missouri Meershaum pipes and the other was "made in China". The one made in China was so inferior, I threw it away. The others were ok. The tobacco that came with the set were whiskey, cherry, and vanilla, along with a tamper and some pipe cleaners. The tobacco was ok, but nothing like what I am used to smoking. I smoked both pipes all day long yesterday, alternating and letting one cool down as I smoked the other. I was building a small table for the 2 chairs I have sitting by my fire pit. The pipes both smoked great and did not get hot. These two will be my favorite pipes when I'm out in the garage or yard. I don't have to worry about them when I put them down to do some work. It's no big deal if I drop one on the concrete or put a piece of lumber on them. I have several other corn cob pipes. I guess I'll get them out and smoke them. Maybe I'll buy another "better" corn cob for the rotation!
