This maduro Belicoso is not the prettiest cigar that you'll see. The wrapper was a little a coarse with some veining to it. It had a soft yet fully packed feel that was not displeasing. Prelight aroma was slightly earthy and the draw was good, staying that way throughout. The burn was slightly uneven, but always corrected itself if it strayed, producing a dark grey ash that was slightly loose. It had a strong medium body to it with a very nice earthy/woody flavor that was kind of cubanesque to me. It produced nice mouthfuls of smoke that stayed cool throughout. All in all, a very nice cigar that I would recommend.

Thanks for the review. I have not tried any Griffiths yet. Who makes these, Fuente?

I believe they're made by Hendrik Kellner (Davidoff, Avo, Zino, etc.)
This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence. |

Thanks Metsfan! For some reason I have not cared for most of his products.

I recently picked up one of those Griffins Maduro and found the review to be right on the mark. During the first half, I thought this would be a nice Maduro for mid-day, but, soon after, the flavor complexities and strength really stepped it up. Another excellent smoke from Henky.

Good reviews, fellas. I guess these are consistent because my experience is the same with The Griffins. I like these, but they are a touch overpriced. I got mine with a coupon out of cA a couple of years ago.
