La Galera 1936 Box Pressed Maduro Robusto
This cigar has a toothy dark wrapper with a firm box press. Medium bunch with sweet aromas from the wrapper and foot. The cold draw is perfect. Today’s beverage is a Karbach BBH Imperial Porter.
Initial flavors are sweet cocoa and toasted tobacco. The box press is easy to hold. The burn is mostly even and the ash is a very light grey and solid. The first third adds cedar notes to the flavor profile. It is excellent. The burn has developed a 45 degree angle, so I will correct. During the second third the correction definitely worked as the burn is back to even. The complexity of flavors is still excellent. The ash remains solid. This is a full bodied smoke. This cigar has a short clean finish. The construction and the complexity are very good. The smoke is very smooth to the end. 8.75/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
