I would suggest purchasing a decent pipe..You dont have to buy the one of the best one's out there, but if your going to try the pipe, @ least get a decent one & give it a fair shot..A good pipe -vs- a cheap pipe will change the taste..So dont buy no bullshit from your local drugstore..
