I use Climmax beads in my cooler. How densely should I pack the boxes? Should there be space around the boxes for air movement?

I don't think it matters too much in a cooler, but in my fridgedor, I do leave an open row in the middle since my beads are on the bottom shelf.
SSJ...to be continued?!?!?

You want some air circulation. Which is the excuse I use to open my cooler everyday to check on my babies.
I open my cooler and fan the insides with the lid for a few seconds everyday. This also has the secondary effect of providing my wife with a smile at my silliness. I don't leave the lid open for hours though. I open the lid just long enough to look at my babies and maybe decide what to kill instead of looking into my desktop humi. Unless your cigar boxes are all the same exact size, you will have some air space between the boxes anyway. Hope this helps. |

My coolador is packed "full", the only air movement is when I open it to retrieve a tasty treat. I left no space unfilled and I have never had a problem with humidity.

Thanks for the info. I'll be able to squeeze in a few more boxes before I have to buy a second cooler

I thought you were supposed to pack it like a jigsaw puzzle...
Hmm, if I move this one here and turn this one this way maybe I can fit in the email special this week |

I leave some airflow in the front and back as I stand my coolers upright and use shelves.

Oppie X,
What did you use to attach the shelves to the sides of the coolador?? My cooler stands up on edge with shelves also. I made the shelves out of cigar boxes and used hot glue to get them in place. Every now and then a shelf will fall. I don't want to use anything that might put a chemical into the humidity. Its not that big of a problem, just more of a hassle.
