The discussion on Ring gauge got me thinkin.
I checked a few sites and it looks like I originally misidentified the cigar as a Valentino, it appears now that I actually smoked and reviewed the Magnifico. Additionally, I was informed that the entire line was Box Pressed. After looking at several photos, it looks like the Big RG Valentino may be the sole exception to that. Tell ya what GUV, if it's too big to enjoy, let me know and We'll work sumpthin out. That's still a great deal for 14 assorted cigars. Cheers! slack

My local has these. The first one didn't impress me but I've two since they are steller cigars. I've been very curious how habano seed would do in Mexican soil. My first thougts were that it would be as close to a CC as you could get. It certainly didn't hit that profile but something completely different. It will probably be one of my go to cigars when I hang out at my local.

Follow up:
As I suspected the Valetino is not box pressed. I know that because the sampler I ordered from Smoke Inn, arrived today. I posted a thread on that transaction in the Smoking Post. But, I also did something I rarely do. I smoked one of the Valentino's ROTT. It was quite different from the Magnifico, that I reviewed. It was still a very enjoyable cigar. But, it was not as focused and rich in the flavor dept. Still, I did very much like it. I believe that with that large of a RG, it would be nearly impossible to get the same kind of intensity. Having said that, it really was well mannered and flavorful. It smoked cool and easy, with a great draw. I was not having to "Work at Smoking it" which can not be said of many of the Uber ring gauges that seem to be popping up everywhere. Probably one of, if not the Best, regular production 58-60 RG cigars that I have had, to date. GUV, I would be very interested in Your thoughts on this cigar. My offer still stands. Cheers! slack

Mine arrived yesterday and I put them right in my humidor to rest for a bit.
At this time of year I don't get the time or place to smoke as often as I do in the warmer seasons, especially the larger cigars that most certainly take an hour to hour & half for me to smoke. Hopefully we'll have a warm enough day for me to try this baby out in the next week or so. PS. Thanks for the offer bsslack, but I think I'll be holding on to these babies especially after reading your review.

There Ya Go!
I sure enjoyed the one I had Yesterday, very much. Again, it's not the same as the box pressed Mi Amours, but darn tasty in it's own right. Holler when You finally break one out. Plus, Good Luck with the whole weather dealio! Cheers! slack

Well, I smoked all the Valentino Behemoth's from Smokinn and bought a box of the La Aroma Churchill's. They should arrive soon, it will be interesting to see where Those are, in comparison. I don't think I would go for a box of the Valentino's, they smoked well and tasted good, but after awhile, that RG was just work. Plus, I very much enjoyed the Box Press version.
I just hate waiting. Cheers! slack

For me, while the Valentino was indeed very tasty the ring gauge was just a bit too much for me to enjoy as an everyday cigar. Would I smoke one again? Absolutely, but it would be more of celebratory cigar rather than a sit and enjoy a good conversation cigar.
I must admit I am very much intrigued by this brand and I feel obligated to give the boxed pressed versions a legitimate shot. Another trip to Holts it is then to get me some of those Magnificos.

One of my favorites!
I really like this cigar, no that's not right I Love this cigar. I could not tell ya how many Mi Amore's I have had, over the years, but I enjoyed every one of them. Consistent quality, burn, draw and a great flavor with enough variety for anyone, Enjoy!
Cheers!
