IPCPR 2017 Review: Porthole by La Sirena
This a review of the Porthole by La Sirena, Toro (6 x 52), I believe.
It appears to go for about $7 per pipesandcigars.com. It’s a Ecudor Connecticut and Habano wrapper, out of Nicaragua. It seems to be a discontinued line of La Sirena as it doesn’t show up on its website…so I’m a little confused. The build is good, although the wrapper is a little sloppy with some bunching here nad there. On the cigar, honestly, I recently reviewed the Merlion cigar (http://forums.cigarweekly.com/showthread.php?t=179795), and it almost felt like the same cigar, without the decked-out cigar band. A pretty one dimensional, but good smoke. It had a good tobacco and leather flavor. Reasonably medium bodied. If I could get these under $5 a stick, I’d be happy to have a few to smoke from time to time.
