Too much oil?

I got a box of Pinar del Rio Exclusivo churchill for my birthday last month that are almost too wet to smoke. And I'm not talking about moisture, I'm talking about oil that actually continues to burn after I put the lighter out. I can damned near use them as candles. I've dry-boxed them, left them out on my desk for a week and they still burn like a roman candle.

All I can think of is to let them sit for a year in hopes they will dry out some. Have any of you had a similar experience? It really puts a negative in my mind of one of my favorite cigars.
