Smoked a nice Walnut blend last week
I haven't had many opportunities to smoke my new pipe. Last Thursday I did smoke a couple of bowls of a Walnut blend that Gary sent me. It was very enjoyable. Mild, not harsh, smooth and light. It was great.
I'm trying to get used to the difference between pipe and cigar smoking. My pipe seems to burn better when I take more frequent but smaller draws. A cigar, on the other hand, seems to burn best when I only take one heavier draw every minute. I've never been one to keep the cigar in my mouth. I have always held it in my hand. I do the same with the pipe and the need for increased puffing frequency keeps me busy - more busy than when I smoke a cigar. I'm enjoying the pipe, but I don't think it will ever replace cigars for me.
