Anyone else use a TurboCrazy to roast coffee...

I am convinced that I am a freakin' technological moron.
I picked up a Galloping Gourmet Turbo Oven and a Stir Crazy Popcorn maker last week.
Well tonight I decided to start the mods to the stir crazy and I think I screwed up immediately to the point of no return.

I read these directions: http://turbocrazy.atspace.com/index_files/project.htm

Tracing the wires of the motor back towards the AC power cord you'll see another pair of wires in the Stir Crazy interior. This second pair terminate in blade lugs on either side of a ceramic thermostat. Pull both of these wires off their terminals on the thermostat
I thought this meant there are two distinct pairs of wires that need to be disconnected...but I now believe I am screwed up and cut the motor wires along with the heating element wires.
