Question Re: Cigar Fest Poker Tournament

I'll be coming to Cigar Fest with someone other than HerfinOne due an unfortunate turn of events for Ben. Roybusto, an old CW member who has not posted in a long while is taking Ben's place.

When I told Roy about the 'Fest and the various events, he became interested in the Poker Tournament and would like to enter. We have tickets to the Rocky Patel event, and Roy would like to attend both events, time permitting.

Keeping in mind that this is the first time it has been offered at Cigar Fest, we are wondering if anyone has any clue as to how long a poker tournament of this magnitude might last.

I don't play poker so I have no clue, nor anything on which to base a guess.

Thanks!

Bryan; rcarms & I have been wondering the same thing. We didn't buy tickets but we'd like to stop & check it out if they'll let us in. With the RP Party coming up afterwards though, it seems to me that they'd want to get the Poker Tourney over in time to accomodate that schedule.

Who knows....but we're gonna find out!

Hello....

I am an avid poker player and I would estimate 3 hours would be the max time for the tourney---probably shorter. They are starting the tourney with a fairly high blind amount along with an aggressive raise every 15 minutes. Of course there are tons of variables, but that's my best guess.
