Beatles : Mono vs Stereo box sets

I'm reading how the mono is superior, but from people who have both, or have heard both..it's a mixed bag.

I might be interested in one or two CDs in mono. I heard Sgt Peppers band sounds better in mono. And the songs I have heard, I would agree. But it's not night and day better. But some of the other songs I've heard, there's not that much difference (to me) and some...even earlier stuff sound a little better in stereo, some about the same.

Guess it comes down to personal preference.

Was wondering if you any of you guys had a preference?
