an apology

I apologize for all the times I said I would rather have root canal than sit through a meeting or do a business trip.

Fark that was an awful 15 minutes trying to get the local anesthesia in place, I ended up having a near panic attack. At least the dentist was understanding when I said "I am deep in fight or flight mode right now"

also I have never had a dentist hit a nerve with the shot that send electricity down a narrow path in my tongue (felt like I was burned afterward)

Once the anesthetic set it was ok - just sore as hell today from keeping my mouth open

I feel your pain. A few years ago I went to have a regular cleaning at the dentist. This guy would give me a shot of novacane since a couple of spots in my mouth was sensitive. He hit a nerve in my mouth and I came out of the chair swinging and almost hit him. From that time on he was very careful when he would give me a shot.

My one root canal wasn't anywhere as painful as a cavity filled in the upper back of my molars. Dentist hit the nerve right in center of the roof of my mouth. Even with sciatica, I have never felt anything like it. Kidney stones are terrible too.

Is it time to start smoking 65 ring cigars for a while now?

No, just expecting a bullet at the back of the head. Be less trouble that way.

I had the gas when I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled in my early 20's. There's no way I'd do it without the gas.

My younger brother did it without the gas years later. He was all numbed up, but he had to listen to the dentist struggle to get the teeth out.

"Come on now!! Move it!!! Damn it! You little bastard!!"
