All Out Kings Give Me Your Lunch Money
This cigar, a collaboration between Robert Caldwell and Jon Drew, generated a lot of buzz at IPCPR16. I finally found one. Here are my thoughts.
Smooth maduro wrapper with rich tobacco aromas, clean clip and a perfect draw. Nice firm bunch. Tons of flavorful smoke, a clean burn and a firm ash contribute to the enjoyment of the cigar. Big tobacco flavor with white pepper on the retrohale. At 1/3 the burn remains clean and some nut notes emerge. Leather notes are also present. At 2/3 the flavors deepen and are very pleasant. Put it down at one inch. Perfect construction, nice complexity and a perfect burn earn this one 8.5/10. Joe Bob says check it out.
