CAO America
I had the Constitution, A toro sized cigar.
I haven't done a review in years, so here's a very basic overview. Great looking cigars with the pinstripped wrappers. They certainly look the part. Mine started off nothing short of spectacular. Peppery, spicy, nutty and some toasted bread in the background. Everything I like in a smoke. At about the halfway point, it stared going sour on me. I let it cool a bit which helped to some degree but it never returned to it's original deliciousness. By the time it was 2/3 gone it was just to sour and off tasting for me to finish it, so I just let it go out. Construction wise it was perfect. Heavy, no voids or soft spots, perfect burn and zero re-lights. If the flavors had stayed on point throughout, I'd give it a solid 9 out of 10. But as it stands, because it was so short lived, it gets a 6.5 This was my first America, and I do plan on smoking a couple more of them. It was good enough to give them another go and not write off the line. |
