La Palina Classic Review
I haven't posted a review here before and I'm not one to use lots of words where few will suffice. This will probably be shorter than most, but I hope it gives enough info. Pulled a corona, 5.5 X 42, from the humidor this morning. It was nice looking, no veins to speak of and felt solid and well made. Pre-light aroma was pleasant. After lighting, first taste was pepper, with oaky and subtle nutty flavors. The spice dominated throughout the smoke with the oak and nut flavors increasing and decreasing slightly. About halfway in, a touch of vanilla showed up and remained until the end. The burn was perfect throughout, as was the draw.
Overall, a nice cigar. Hand me one, I'll fire it up and enjoy it, however, not one I'd purchase. For me, it had too much pepper, not so much that all other flavors were hidden, but enough to distract me from other flavors.
