Marques de Castillo Ygay Blanco Gran Reserve Especial
I was lucky enough to taste the 1986 Ygay last night at a sommelier competition.
It is the finest white wine I have ever drunk. 21 years on oak 6+ years in cement tanks 2-3 years in bottle very high acidity, feels and tastes young (which is pretty amazing). It auses salivation (this wine needs food, really, I wish I could have had something like foie with is). Very dense dried apple, soft floral notes, dried pineapple, a soft soft lemon streak. Waxy/creamy. Exceptionally long on the palate. I won't be having it again until I either hit the lottery or retire. But what a wine.

Sounds wonderful. I'm told it's THE wine most requested at rehabs.

Doesn't necessarily mean they'll serve it.

in the for profit healthcare world it might be one hell of a business model to have a sobriety toast prior to discharge
