I just smoked the BTL that I got in a recent trade with MetsFan at our Friday lunch herf. I have wanted to try one of these for the last couple of years, and thanks to MetsFan, I was able to. Alas, sometimes fantasy is best left alone.

The BTL was beautiful to look at, perfectly made and solid to the touch. It took the flame well and burned consistently down to the nub. It exhibited some degree of strength from the beginning, but the flavor was very one dimensional and thin. I nubbed it hoping that things would improve, but they never did. Certainly not a bad cigar, but not the memorable smoke that I have made it out to be in my head, either. I was more than a bit disappointed, actually. I'm glad I tried the BTL, abd I would recommend others to do the same, but I would never spring for a box. Too many other fine sticks out the for that kind of money. Bottom line, it was a novelty.
