I tried this , I didnt care for the bourbon/iced tea combo
It is refreshing , just wish that combo did it for me ...

So , i opted for rum , coconut water and lime...

Ingredients
10 mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
1 1/2 teaspoons superfine sugar
Seltzer water
Crushed ice
2 1/2 ounces Kentucky bourbon whiskey

Directions
Place the mint leaves in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass and top with the sugar. Muddle these together until the leaves begin to break down. Add a splash of seltzer water, fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice, and add the bourbon. Top with another splash of seltzer, stir, and garnish with a sprig of mint. Serve immediately
Juleps are awesome on a hot summer day!

Simple bourbon cooler: Freeze lemonade into ice cubes. Toss a few cubes into a tall glass, add a couple of fingers of bourbon, top off with ginger ale.

An Old Fashioned is my go to as the temps rise. I just changed my 5L barrel from Manhattans to Old Fashioneds.

Going a short distance from bourbon, a rye and ginger is quite refreshing on a hot day

I've been off sugar for so long that I can't drink anything sweet, really, so I avoid cocktails for the most part.

1/4 cup of sugar per 750 ml isn't a lot of sugar. But alcohol is a more simple sugar compared to sucrose
