Light box press on this torpedo that smells of rich tobacco and has a good bunch and draw. This is one of the new Lars cigars that is not infused. According to the website the tobaccos in this cigar are from Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky filler, Connecticut Shade binder and Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper.

My first impression is that the cigar is mostly medium body, something I don't usually associate with Broadleaf. There is the usual sweetness on the lips that I associate with Broadleaf, but the rest of the flavors are hard to pin down past that of tobacco. So far the ash is solid and the burn is perfect.

At one third the cigar is fairly sweet with some notable differences. I don't know that I have ever smoked a premium cigar rolled with tobacco all grown in the US. It is unlike the tobaccos of Central America and the Caribbean. There are some overall fruity notes without being any fruit in particular.

Some pepper notes emerged at about halfway, mostly in the retrohale. The burn is now angular, but I will give it a chance to even up before I correct it.

At 2/3 the cigar remains a smooth medium smoke. The flavors are still somewhat baffling to me, probably because I am unfamiliar with most of the tobaccos. Still, it's pleasant with rich thick smoke. And the burn did even up on its own.

Put it down at one inch. Overall excellent construction and what I can only describe as mysteriously complex. 8/10. Joe Bob says check it out.
