Viaje Ghost Pepper

Rich tobacco notes from the wrapper and foot, perfect but almost flavorless cold draw.

Draw is stingy until you get past the tip then opens up with a spiciness not quite matching it is name, but heavy on the red pepper notes.

The burn evens out fairly well after getting past the figurado bump. The ash is a bit flaky, but not overly so. The predominant flavor is pepper, but there are rich tobacco notes as well.

At 1/3 a Maduro flavor emerges to soften the bite of the pepper. There is even an element of sweetness that emerges. The pepper is still present, just not as strong. The burn has settled to nice and even.

At 2/3 it's become an excellent cigar. There are still pepper notes but the overall tobacco notes and the light sweetness are balancing out nicely. The burn is almost razor sharp and the smoke remains cool and plentiful. A slight harshness is easily purged out.

I believe that the pepper notes are the result of plentiful ligero and not from any infusion. Heating up approaching one inch when I put it down.

This is definitely a great cigar for those who like strength. I give it a 8.75/10. Joe Bob says check it out.
El Gringo permanence...

Eleven dead bodies. One dead cat. No breasts. Joe Bob says, "Check it out."

More capacious than an elephant's scrotum, and just as difficult to get your hands on...

There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.

What Would TOJE Do?
