I won the smoke ring contest at the CW Anniversary Herf in 2004. Pretty sure there were long ash and power herf contests as well.

I remember seeing the photos of guys laying back on the stage to keep their ashes from falling.

The stunt would work on some people, it's got to drop sometime, you know...

someone who hadn't smoked cigars before wouldn't even notice.
